About IQI
Who we are
Illinois Quilters Inc. was founded as a guild in 1980 to promote fellowship among those interested in quilts and quiltmaking. Our goal is to promote an awareness of quilting, to preserve our quilting heritage, and to encourage an appreciation of fine design and workmanship.
Our membership year runs from September - June. Membership forms and dues must be submitted by September for inclusion in the printed directory.

When and where we meet
Meetings: First Thursday of the month, September through June, at Gloria Dei (Click on link in address below for a google map to the location). Doors open 6:45 and program begins promptly at 7:30 pm. Check Events for more details.
Workshops: Several times a year IQI offers workshops. Check Events for more details.
Sew-Ins: for fellowship and service projects occur on an ongoing basis. Check Events for more details.
Show and Boutique: Fine Art of Fiber, at Chicago Botanic Garden, 1st weekend of November. Go straight to the FAOF website by clicking here or on the FAOF abbreviation in the top bar.
Each year guild members contribute time, effort, and supplies to make a fabulous quilt to be raffled off at the end of FAOF. Below are photos of the 2010 raffle quilt.

Quilt-In: January 28-31, 20010. Weekend Workshops, friendships, and a chance to get away. This yearly event is held at the Devine World Conference Center Techny, IL. Check the Quilt In area for more details.
