Jean Biddick Lecture
Start: 06 May 2010 07:30 PM
End: 06 May 2010 09:30 PM
Jean joins us in May for her lecture "Architectural Influences in Quiltmaking." Floors, gates, windows and other architectural details offer a wide variety of design possibilities. Jean's lecture will show examples of her quilts as well as the quilts of others who have used architecture as the basis for their quilt designs.
Jean Biddick started her first quilt, still unfinished, at the age of 13. A dozen years later she became more serious about her quiltmaking and was introduced to machine piecing. Her piecing skills improved as she moved from traditional patterns to the more complicated tile floor patterns she is working with today. She began teaching machine piecing classes in 1984 and thoroughly enjoys giving students the technical skills they need to turn their vision into quilts.
Please also view the 2 workshops we have available from Jean on May 7 and 8.

The monthly meeting is held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church located at 1133 Pfingsten Road (the Northeast corner of Cherry and Pfingsten), in Northbrook, IL. Doors open at 6:30pm.
